Ceramiglass is a mixed-media process that combines ceramics with reclaimed crushed glass to create sustainable contemporary artwork. Using collected glass bottles and jars, the glass is manually crushed using my homemade crusher. The glass is placed into the carved out ceramic forms and fired in a kiln at high temperatures. The resulting surface reveals a luminous texture and color variations unique to each piece. I seek to elevate overlooked materials beyond waste, creating artwork that unites sustainability with refined artistry and sculptural beauty.
